This is how I plane my lumber to thickness. I don’t have a planer or jointer, so this is what I use to flatten and get the thickness I need. There’s a lot of information out there on how to make this jig, but it’s really very simple. You just need a way to have your router pass over your workpiece at the same height. I originally designed this to plane my end grain cutting boards, but I now use it to plane any rough cut lumber that I purchase. When you don’t have the correct tools, you gotta make due with what you have.
Believe it or not… oil and peanutbutter takes that sticky, nasty sticker residue off of plastic. Also works great on glass! And it smells good too. Peanutbutter, Good enough to eat!
