This project starts out very easy and each cookie becomes increasingly more challenging. I hope it will encourage people to try out needle felting and realise how quickly they can improve! The finished cookies are perfect for charms, rings, necklaces, magnets, hair clips, phone strap or baby’s mobile. The foam base makes it really easy to create different shapes and you can come up with endless possibilities :D .

    Difficulty: ALL LEVELS

7 Reasons Why I’d love to Join Sweetorials!

    1) I specialised in needle felt, which doesn’t have many tutorials on Youtube even though it’s a super cute and easy to learn technique! (I learned through Lisa/Pufftique, who posted some of the only videos on this topic :D ). I think showing more needle felt will give a nice variation to Sweetorials and provide viewers with extra inspiration.

    2) I’ve been working as a full-time designer/illustrator for 10 years and currently run a successful business specialising in kawaii gifts. All the work I do for Youtube is essentially part of my ‘real job’ so I can simply allocate hours from my working week to Sweetorials.

    3) There is absolutely zero chance I will ever neglect Sweetorial commitments due to work (I’m my own boss), studies (finished my degree in 2007), personal issues (I’m 29 and happily settled down) or money reasons (I’m financially independent).

    4) I can work extremely quickly. When setting up my channel, I made 10 videos in 4 weeks XD. I’m aiming do 4-6 videos a month from now on, so I can easily produce tutorials or jump in for someone else.

    5) I do a lot of research in order to come up with completely original projects that haven’t been done anywhere else on Youtube. I also make sure there’s a good mix of difficulty levels, so anyone from an absolute beginner to a professional artist can find something to work with.

    6) I’m fairly experienced with teaching art and design as I wrote a How to Draw Chibi book three years ago and have written articles for ImagineFX and ComputerArts. My goal is to create projects that really encourage people to learn for themselves, with clear step-by-step instructions. Crafting materials used in the videos are available worldwide and shopping links are included whenever possible.

    7) As part of my business I send and receive packages on a daily basis so postal trades wouldn’t be a problem at all. I’d love to send parcels as well in order to get feedback on Maqaroon designs. Due to work, I also have lots of kawaii samples, craft supplies and discontinued products lying around that I’d rather send out than throw away!

My channel doesn’t have a lot of subscribers yet, so I’d really like to audition for Sweetorials for the chance of sharing ideas with a larger audience!
