After not finding a bed base that I wanted I decided to build one myself. It is a Queen size base with all the supports situated a few centimeters away from the edges.

There are loads of floating platform bed on the internet designs but almost all of them have a base that is wider than the mattress. My design is based on not want to knock my shins climbing into bed and not have visible bed posts.
